2013 Next Step Breakfast Participant Testimony

Annual Spring Gala to Celebrate Next Step Program & Life of The Rt. Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon

Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington's Annual Spring Gala will be a celebration of life and achievement. This year's gala will recongnize the success of the Next Step Program and honor the life and minsitry of the late Right Reverend Jane Homles Dixon.  David "Dixie" Dixon was delighted that Samaritan Ministry chose to honor his wife in this way.

Clothing Donation Bin Placed at St. Andrew's Episcopal School
September 27, 2012

On Tuesday, September 18, MetroAid workers placed Samaritan Ministry's second clothing donation bin at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, MD.  The bin is located next to the student parking lot and ready to accept donations. This bin is the second of many to be placed all over the DMV area and is part of a newly implemented fundraising project that SMGW has begun with MetroAid, LLC.

Samaritan Ministry Begins Clothing Bin Project
August 07, 2012

Samaritan Ministry announced a new clothing bin project in a mutually beneficial partnership with MetroAid, LLC. Samaritan Ministry recently placed the first clothing bin on the Northwest office property, and donations of clothing, and other accessories, are already flooding in. MetroAid has agreed to fully manage clothing collections from the bins. Needed business clothing will be pulled from the bins and delivered to Samaritan Ministry's clothing closets.

The Rev. David B. Wolf to be SMGW's New Executive Director

The Rev. David B. Wolf, Esq. will be the new Executive Director of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington (SMGW) beginning August 20, 2012. For the past 11 years, David has served as the Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Paterson, NJ, and as President-CEO of St. Paul’s Community Development Corp., a non-profit working to alleviate hunger, homelessness, unemployment, poverty, and illiteracy in Paterson, one of the poorest small cities in America.
