Upcoming Spring Gala to Honor David Downes

Join Samaritan Ministry for an evening of food, music and fun celebrating our Next Step Program and honoring Excecutive Director David Downes' 10 years of service.

Our Spring Gala will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at The Conference Center at 4000 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest and will feature live music as well as a silent and live auction.

Tickets to the event at $100 per person and all proceeds from the night's festivities will benefit our Next Step Program, which aims to provide individuals who are homeless and in need with the tools to make positive changes in their lives. 

Event Details:

  • Cost: $100 per ticket

Individual Spronsorships are also available at the following levels:

  • Patron: $1,500 = 8 tickets
  • Sponsor: $1,000 = 6 tickets
  • Supporter: $500 = 5 tickets
  • Friend: $250= 2 tickets

Location, Parking and Directions

The Conference Center

4000 Wisconsin Avenue, Nw

(Entrance on Upton Street)

The 4000 Building in located at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Upton Street. The actual address of The Conference Center is located on Upton Street, just off Wisonconsin Avenue. Access is via the street entrance, directly from outside; there is no internal connection within the 4000 Building. Specifically, The Conference Center is located between Serentity Day Spa and the Colonial Parking Garage.

 

Public Transportation

If you choose to take the Metro, the closest Metro station is Tenleytown/AU on the RED LINE train which is approximately 5 blocks north of The Conference Center. It is a short walk from the Metro Station to The Conference Center but metro busese are available. Please see www.wmata.com for a more detailed trip planner.

 

Parking

Free parking is available a few blocks away from The Conference Center on the grounds of Fannie Mae. Additional parking is also available within the 4000 building at the Colonial Parking Garage immediatley adjacent to The Conference Center entrance on Upton Street. The daily parking rate (any time over three hours) is $15.00. Street parking will also be available in the neighborhood, including on Wisconsin Avenue and Upton Street.

Driving from Northern Virginia

Merge onto I-495 N/CAPITAL BELTWAY via EXIT 64B toward BALTIMORE (Crossing into MARYLAND).

Take the RIVER RD EAST/MD-190 E exit, EXIT 39B, toward WASHINGTON.

Merge onto RIVER RD NW (Crossing into DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA).

Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto WISCONSIN AVE NW.

From the East

Take US-50 W toward WASHINGTON (Crossing into DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA).

Stay STRAIGHT to go onto NEW YORK AVE NW.

Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto MT VERNON PL NW.

MT VERNON PL NW becomes MASSACHUSETTS AVE NW. Pass through 1 roundabout.

Turn RIGHT to stay on MASSACHUSETTS AVE NW. Pass through 1 roundabout.

Turn RIGHT onto WISCONSIN AVE NW.

From the North

Merge onto I-270 S toward WASHINGTON.

Keep RIGHT to take I-270 SPUR S toward I-270/WASHINGTON/I-495/NORTHERN VIRGINIA.

I-270 SPUR S becomes I-495 S/CAPITAL BELTWAY.

Take the MD-190 E exit, EXIT 39, toward WASHINGTON.

Merge onto RIVER RD NW (Crossing into DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA).
