Samaritan Ministry Defines Its Core Values
In preparation for Samaritan Ministry’s 20th Anniversary, staff members, volunteers and the Board of Directors spent the preceding months thinking about what makes our organization strong and unique. From this process has emerged a set of Core Values. What are core values? Samaritan Ministry’s core values are those values which form the foundation on which we perform our work and by which we conduct ourselves. Samaritan Ministry has an entire universe of values, but some of them are so primary, so important to us that in spite of ever-changing conditions, these core values remain constant. These values underlie our work, how interact with each other, and which strategies we employ to fulfill our mission. The core values are the basic elements of how we go about our work. As Samaritan Ministry enters its third decade-balancing tradition, needs and innovation—our core values act as the touchstone for our efforts.
